Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. In this privacy policy we explain which personal data we process, why we do so and which rights you have.

1. Data controller

Just Socials (operating under the names Just Married Content and Just Events), based in Rotterdam and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) under number [KvK-nummer], is responsible for the processing of personal data as set out in this privacy policy.

2. Personal data we process

We process personal data when you:

  • contact us via the contact form, email, WhatsApp or Instagram;
  • request a quote;
  • enter into an agreement with us;
  • use our services;
  • appear on camera as a guest, employee or participant at a wedding or event that we capture.

The following personal data may be processed:

  • first and last name;
  • company name;
  • address details;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • date, location and other details of your wedding or event, and the information you give us yourself (for example wishes, programme and number of guests);
  • social media details, such as your Instagram username, when you contact or tag us through that channel;
  • invoicing and payment details;
  • photo and video recordings (including sound) in which people are recognisable;
  • other personal data that you actively provide to us.

We do not deliberately process special categories of personal data. Information may, however, be indirectly apparent from footage, for example about religion at a church ceremony. We use such footage solely for carrying out the assignment and handle it with care.

Our website and services are not aimed at children. Children may, however, appear on camera as a guest at a wedding or event. We only publish recognisable images of children with the permission of their parents or carers. Do you think we have collected data of a minor without permission? Then please contact us and we will delete that data.

3. Purposes of processing

Personal data is processed solely for the following purposes:

  • answering questions and preparing quotes;
  • carrying out agreements and delivering our services (filming, editing and delivering content);
  • communication about the services and the planning;
  • preparing and sending invoices and keeping our records;
  • complying with legal obligations;
  • showing our work in our portfolio, on our website and on social media.

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

4. Legal bases for processing

Personal data is processed on the basis of:

  • the performance of an agreement, or taking steps prior to entering into an agreement, such as answering an enquiry;
  • a legal obligation, such as the statutory tax record-keeping requirement;
  • legitimate interest, such as business communication and showing our work in our portfolio. You can always object to this processing (see section 10);
  • consent, where this is required. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Retention periods

Personal data is not kept longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

  • Administrative data is kept in accordance with the statutory tax retention period of 7 years.
  • Email correspondence is kept for a maximum of 5 years.
  • Client data is kept for the duration of the agreement and for a maximum of 5 years afterwards.
  • Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment are kept for a maximum of 12 months.
  • Source material (the raw recordings) is kept as a backup for a maximum of 3 months after delivery and is then deleted.
  • We show images in our portfolio until you object to this.

6. Sharing personal data with third parties

Personal data is not sold to third parties. Data is only shared if this is necessary for carrying out the services or for complying with legal obligations.

To carry out our work we use external parties, in the following categories:

  • website hosting;
  • email, cloud storage and file transfer (for storing and delivering content);
  • our contact form: what you enter in it is emailed to our mailbox via our hosting provider. The message is not stored on the website itself;
  • communication channels such as WhatsApp and Instagram (Meta);
  • bookkeeping and payment transactions;
  • software for editing, planning and project administration.

Where necessary, we make agreements with these parties on the protection of personal data. These parties process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7. Transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA)

Data may be processed via platforms that are (partly) established outside the European Economic Area, such as Meta and Google (for our email).

In such cases, appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation.

8. Website and cookies

Our website does not use tracking, analytics or marketing cookies. We do not place any cookies that require consent.

Fonts and other files are loaded from our own website. When you view our pages, therefore, no data is sent to other parties, such as Google.

Our hosting provider may temporarily record technical data, such as your IP address, the time of your visit and the page viewed, in server log files. This is done for security and for resolving faults. When you submit the contact form, the website also remembers, for one day, a derived code of your IP address (not the address itself), to limit abuse by spam.

Through our website you can click through to other websites and apps, such as Instagram and WhatsApp. The privacy terms of those parties apply to their use.

Our pages may contain videos from Instagram. These are only loaded after you click play yourself; before you click, your browser makes no connection to Instagram. After your click, your browser does connect to Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). Instagram may then place cookies and process data, such as your IP address and the fact that you are watching the video. By clicking, you give your consent for this. We have no influence on what Instagram does with that data; the privacy terms of Instagram and Meta apply.

If we later add features that require cookies, we will amend this policy and, where necessary, ask for consent in advance.

9. Security of personal data

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

Access to personal data is limited to persons for whom this is necessary to carry out their work. We share delivered files via secure links.

10. Rights of data subjects

You have the right to:

  • access your personal data;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have data deleted;
  • have the processing restricted;
  • object to processing;
  • request data portability;
  • withdraw your consent, where the processing is based on it.

Requests can be submitted via info@justsocials.nl. We respond as soon as possible and no later than within one month. To prevent abuse, we may ask you to identify yourself.

Are you on camera at a wedding or event and do you not want an image to be used in our portfolio? Let us know via info@justsocials.nl and we will remove the image.

11. Complaints

If you have complaints about the processing of personal data, you can contact us via info@justsocials.nl.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

12. Changes

Just Socials reserves the right to amend this privacy policy.
